In 2024, I started working for the CBC on a series of short videos that humorously explore music theory through the lens of pop music. They are called ComposerBrain, because they’re what my composer brain thinks about when listening to these pop songs! My collaborator on this project is the great Gui Morilha, who has been editing, adding in animations, and manning the camera since episode 4. My goal is to provide the audience with a set of tools for thinking about how music works that can be applied to much of the music that we hear today.
